Election '05

Well, I'm back in Wisconsin, land of cheese and a gazillion cows, to visit ALL the family. My mom and her brother David ran against eachother today at our big get-together for Family President. Balloting closed at 3pm, and this was the result!
The candidates, David and Diane, having a good chuckle over something (although it appears that my mom might actually be performing some kind of vampire ritual on my uncle, which is probably what is REALLY going on since she was "out for blood" during this campaign)...

The Ballot Girls, a.k.a. Evie, Verena (Grandma), and Anna (my Aunt), counting carefully so as not to have another "Florida Mishap"

The Buffalo Party, Diane with her running mate Leo (my Uncle), warming up for their victory lap...

Unfortunately the Hogwash Party, my Uncle David and his running mate KT (my Aunt) took the polls by one vote! The Buffalo Party (left) consider wether to throw a tantrum or not...

In the end, Diane and Leo were uncharacteristically gracious about the results (which makes me think something fishy is STILL going on, this proceeding all the fishy balloting and smear campaigning)...

And Diane shared the neo-traditional "Montana Bananas" prize with the new President!
